Tax Shelter Annuity

The Sparta Area School District offers several choices in its Tax Sheltered Annuity Program.  Approved vendors and contact numbers can be found in this list.

An employee should work with the vendor of their choice to open up an account.  Each vendor will have their own process for opening an account.

Once an account is created with the vendor of an employee's choice, the employee provides the district with authorization for a payroll deduction.  This can either be done by setting up an account at the CPI Website using the online instructions or using a paper form.  Please return the form to the District's Payroll office.

Participants in the plan may move money between vendors using a contract exchange.  Under certain conditions, participants may qualify for a hardship withdrawal.  Participants are encouraged to discuss any of these transactions with their financial advisor.
