Welcome to Southside Early Learning Center Spartan Way!

PBIS - Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports – is a district-wide system that promotes positive behaviors in students. Strategies are developed that manage student behavior in and outside of classroom settings.  All students are accountable, with support, to behave in ways that positively affect them personally, academically, and socially.

As we continue to implement PBIS, we want to inform you of the expectations that are being taught and reinforced here at Southside.  Below, you will find a matrix that shows the expectations for being safe, respectful, and responsible in each area of our school. One way we will show our success is by earning Spartan Shield cards. These small slips of paper will be marked to show the way it was earned. Please encourage your child to follow the Spartan Way and celebrate with them when they earn one. Celebrations could include collecting them in a small container so you can watch them grow or celebrate the card and then dispose of it, whatever fits your family best. We look forward to working with you to help develop positive behaviors both at school and at home.  If you have any questions, please talk with your child’s teacher or one of our building PBIS coaches.
