2023 SASD Facility Study

The Sparta Area School District is going through a comprehensive facility assessment and master planning process. The District has selected Bray Architects and Market & Johnson (M&J) as partners in this process. Both firms have extensive K-12 educational experience, and in the months ahead as a team, will be finalizing a process that will include additional opportunities for community input. Please watch for future communications about how your voice can be heard as we develop a facilities master plan that addresses the District’s needs while aligning with the community’s vision for not only today but into the future. It is important to note that the District, nor the Bray/M&J team, have any preconceived notion of where this master planning process will end. All viable solutions will be explored and we are optimistic that at the conclusion of the process a master plan will be established to guide day-to-day facility related decisions while also considering what larger investments may be needed at each school.

Next Steps

Board of Education members will meet on Monday, January 8, at 6 p.m. to further discuss the survey results and the possibility of a Spring Operating and/or Facilty Referendum. The public is encouraged to attend the meetings.
