The Project

1. Demolish the structurally challenged portion of the high school and build a two-story addition with classrooms, special education areas, and a library.
2. Build the main office with improved security, as well as space for art classrooms and locker rooms (replacing the current basement area locker room)
3. Demolish existing welding/metals shop and build a new tech ed (shop) area for welding, metals, and manufacturing classes
4.  Site updates, including parking

*Updates to plumbing and HVAC and replacement of roof, ceilings, flooring, doors, and classroom cabinets.

1. Renovation of existing office area to create a secure entrance and reconfigure for current middle school office needs (office originally built with separate elementary and middle school offices)
2. Add exterior canopy and/or signage feature to emphasize main entry location
3. Partial roof repair/replacement and replacement of exterior sidewalk, exterior and interior doors, ceilings, flooring, and classroom cabinets

1. Site improvements to add a bus drop-off and pick-up area off of Walrath Street to improve traffic congestion
2. Partial roof repair/replacement, plumbing updates, and replacement of flooring and classroom cabinets

Updates to equipment and major building systems identified to be in “poor” condition on facility report:

1. Asbestos remediation
2. Partial roof repair / replacement
3. Plumbing updates to distribution piping, sanitary sewer, storm sewer, and fixtures
4. Exterior masonry and concrete replacement / tuckpointing
5. Update electrical service panels
6. Exterior and interior door replacement
7. Replace exterior windows
8. Replace classroom cabinets
9. Replace flooring
10. Replace ceiling
