Farm to School

Farm To School brings farm fresh products into our school cafeterias for students to consume and enjoy. The Sparta Area School District believes that a well-nourished child is better prepared to learn and grow. School gardens, advocacy and education are important in our Farm To School efforts. The Harvest of the Month (HOM) program is currently partnering with the Monroe County Health Department. The end goal is to curb childhood obesity by increasing fresh fruit and vegetable consumption for Monroe County children.
