M&J Masonry focused on the second floor of unit B non-load bearing CMU walls throughout this week. They also spent time outside setting up scaffolding for starting brick on the south west corner of unit A’s exterior wall. The masons also continued with rubbing the interior CMU walls to prepare for the painters when they come through each area.
Cary Specialized Services spent their time this week unloading the stairways that arrived on site for units A, B, & C. They have begun setting the northern stairway of unit B.
Zimmerman Plumbing began testing the large and small bathroom piping for leaks for the first and second floors of unit A. They also continued working on the other bathrooms for unit C. B&B Electric still continues with their electrical rough-ins throughout the building in sections A, B, & C. They also worked on rough-ins on the ceiling of the gymnasium in unit D. Winona Controls continued hooking up VAV’s in unit A second floor and setting more steel pipe in unit C second floor above ceiling. Complete Control has also been on and off the site for the last couple weeks installing their control systems to the various Mechanical units set my Ledegar and Winona Controls. Ledegar Sheet Metal spent a lot of the week in the first and second floors of unit C working on the large ductwork installation in that area. International Fire Protection began on the second floor of unit A with more sprinkler piping installation. All MEP trades have workers insulating their interior pipes and ductwork as well.
Fowler & Hammer are still in the interior of the building setting door frames and spent a few days this week outside on the roof of unit E kitchen area installing the roof blocking ahead of the roofers.
Winona Heating and Ventilating finished the roof membrane for the south area unit B wood decking roof. They will be going to the kitchen area next.
Poellinger continued as they have in the past weeks with their installation of gypsum board, mudding & taping, and spraying finisher/sanding to prepare the next areas of the building for paint. They are almost finished with gypsum board in unit C, are finish sanding the unit A first floor where the painters are, began mudding & taping behind the gypsum board for unit C first floor, and are still steel stud framing the second floor unit C.
Professional Painting Company started their prep/priming/block filling work for the first floor of unit A. They also began painting unit A by the stair well and also prepared the north stairway/entrance area of unit B for paint as well.
